If you know me in real life, that's cool. There's nothing here I mind you seeing, but if you look around enthusiastically enough, you may get squicked, and it'll be your own darn fault.

I'm also recently into menstrual cups, I love my DivaCup. They are a great invention.
Keep being a free and independant spirit!

Anyway, saw you on bad_sex and menstrual_cups. This journal is my second journal also that the regular friends don't know about, for they too would freak out.
Anyway, just wanted to say Hi...

Sex AND blood?
Enquiring minds want to know if your journal is potentially as interesting as I imagine it being.January 19 2007, 14:34:03 UTC 5 years ago
Re: Sex AND blood?
My journal is pretty much empty I'm afraid. Certainly no chronicles of blood and sex, just a couple of posts about me.Interesting stuff goes on in communities - I'm ridiculously active in nearly all of the ones in my profile.

I live in the town when I'm home for the holidays (I'm at uni in a Northern town which is normally applied to by those who also apply for Oxbridge!), so am very, very unlikely to know who you are. Indeed, if you don't recognise me from my user pics and journal, then you're not going to know who I am anyway. Even friends I know in real life don't know it's me.
Anyway, where did you get your icon from? It's cool
March 4 2007, 17:52:40 UTC 5 years ago
Nope, don't recognise you. To be honest even if you'd been in Oxford Uni I'd be quite unlikely to recognise you!
My icon is of Death from Neil Gaiman's Sandman comics. I iconed it myself, but the picture's not mine originally.

and I was wondering if I could have use of it? I sometimes work as the world's most unofficial sex therapist, (not trained or anything... I help friends in need, let's put it that way) and I'm considering writing a book about... well, women having good sex. there are books on the subject, but they're all... flowery, is the only way I can put it. And they don't really give you an idea on how to relate to men. Or are specific enough about enough topics for me. (They'll talk about positioning but not positioning for anal, for instance). Don't get me wrong, it's not about relationships... I couldn't write a paragraph about how to do those well.
Anyway, I was looking randomly through the memories, and I thought this would be a fantastic tool! So many women and men get STUCK at the communication part, what they want, what they don't want, what they're willing to try.
I'm on cough syrup and can't sleep and so this is a really babbly comment and I'm sorry. :D
April 13 2007, 12:36:04 UTC 5 years ago
Unless you meant that you want to include it in your book, in which case ooo, I'm really flattered, but since there's profit making involved I shall have to ask
I've also got another post on communication if you can make use of that. Same disclaimers apply.
There are actually a few really great books on sex (technique and/or relationships) out there, but one more can't hurt! Good luck, and let me know how everything goes.

cuppies.
hiya. you responded to a post i made in menstrual_cups a while back. october, actually, so basically a billion years ago.i was asking if anyone lived in oxford, so i could find some contacts for when i start seriously researching... well, it's about that time. during trinity term, i'm going to do a research project about cup use in the uk or maybe even specifically at the university.
are you still willing to help me out and maybe answer a few questions? you seem like a very helpful sort of person, from all of the communities and such you contribute to.
at this point i basically need someone to assist in my brainstorming process, mostly listening to me talk to myself and occasionally chime in with a suggestion. we could do this over lj, and maybe later meet up somewhere in town? i will offer coffee in exchange for your perspective.

Hi :) As I said above, I only tend to add people I know very well or who are posting about sex ed related stuff.June 5 2008, 02:23:27 UTC 3 years ago
i'm alyssa. i'm pansexual & very much into porn and sex toys (i actually review sex toys on edenfantasys.com; it's the sweetest deal ever). i'm also very much into the internet, and i spend far too much time on it. it's kinda hard to prove sense of humor over the internet, but uhh, i have one, especially about sex, since sex is so hilarious in and of itself. let's see... oh, i'm a gender studies minor, and my perception of the world has now been ruined by the knowledge of fucked up gender roles/expectations/assumptions. unrelated to sex, but i'm also a hanson fan, and having to defend hanson has definitely influenced my snarky 'tude. that's about it!
